Musha Mukadzi

The vision

Musha Mukadzi

An old Shona saying that places the woman at the centre of the home. Too often it has been heard as a weight to carry. Musha Mukadzi reclaims it: the woman as the foundation of the home and of the generations that grow from it, held, restored and celebrated.

MushaHomeThe homestead. The place a family grows from and returns to.
MukadziWomanWife, mother, daughter, sister. The one so often holding it all together.
HunhuBeing humanWe become whole through one another. I am because we are.

What we are building

A global platform for women who hold the home

Musha Mukadzi is in development. It will bring women together across countries and cultures to speak their truth, return to themselves and choose the legacy they leave.

Gatherings

Live events where women hear stories that sound like their own, and leave with a practice to take home.

Voices

A stage for women across the diaspora and beyond to share what they have learned about carrying, receiving and restoring.

Legacy

Conversations between generations, so daughters and sons inherit a different example of what a woman can be.

The founding circle
